At the present time the LPCA remains in the search and accept mode of recruiting candidates to seek partisan or any other (including non-partisan) elective office. Those candidates may or may not have enough financial resources available to begin a strong fundraising effort on their own. This problem has been observed on more than one occasion. One practical solution is using a PAC to raise needed money long before the candidates come onto the scene. Enough money to begin fundraising for the express purpose of helping candidates who need it with their own fundraising for their campaigns. I propose to do so now.
You can help fund such a project!
With your help, advertisements in LP News and LPC Monthly along with email will begin asking for funds immediately. The money raised from now until Nov. 2001 will be held until Dec. 2001. At that time, provided enough money is raised, a hard hitting (including direct mail) fundraising effort will begin.
With your help, others will be asked to contribute to this fund so our candidates can begin their own fundraising projects in 2002. Second and third letters are planned for Jan. and Mar.
Why do this as a special project?
The LPCA is swamped with projects and needs far beyond its available resources. Stretched to its limits, often the most worthwhile projects are carried out by one or two dedicated individuals.
Many of our candidates need help with the funds necessary to run for elective office. They will be better candidates if funds are available to help them with their initial fundraising.
Let's go with California Liberty PAC!
Please begin your continuing support of this project with an immediate donation and your personal ongoing pledge now!
